Hi
I have two hosts
h1 and h2, both ipv6 on redhat 6.2, kernel 2.4.0
eth0 of h1 is directly wired to eth1 of h2
i have assigned 1:2:3:4:5:6:7:8/112 to eth0 of h1
and 1:2:3:4:5:6:7:1/112 to eth1 of h2
The routing table of h1 is as follows:-
route -A inet6 -n
Destination Next-Hop Flags Metric Ref Use Iface
::1/128 :: U 0 0 0
lo
1:2:3:4:5:6:7:8/128 :: U 0 17 1 lo
1:2:3:4:5:6:7:0/112 :: UA 256 0 0 eth0
fe80::/10 :: UA 256 0 0
eth0
ff00::/8 :: UA 256 0 0
eth0
::/0 :: UDA 256 0 0
eth0
I am not able to ping h1 from h2, nor from h2 to h1.
ping6 is giving the following output
From ::1: Destination unreachable: Address unreachable
traceroute6 from h1 is giving the following output
traceroute6 1:2:3:4:5:6:7:1
traceroute to 1:2:3:4:5:6:7:1 (1:2:3:4:5:6:7:1) from 1:2:3:4:5:6:7:8, 30 hops
1 ::1 (::1) 2999ms !H 2999ms !H 2999ms !H
Can somebody help me?
Thenx,
ravi
