really, you will go into bootstrap problem if you really try this.
suppose you have two routers on your subnet, who autoconfigures who?
if both side is autoconfigured and you have power outage (both side
rebooted), what happens?
because of this (i believe), to autoconfigure routers, we have another
protocol called "router renumbering".
