Hi
Thanks for all the help! I now have my ipv6 kernel compiled
and intsalled. I also have my ipv6 interfaces configured
on my hosts.
I have a question. One of the hosts on my subnet will act as
the router and all the other hosts on the subnet will auto-configure
their site local addresses from the info he sends out.
It appears each Unix vendor has his own way of doing this... AIX uses
two applications called ndpd-host and ndpd-router.
Is this what radvd or /etc/radvd.conf is used for in Linux?
Is radvd part of the RedHat7.1 distribution? I have not found it on my media.
Or am I confused? What starts the router to advertise his prefix
on the link for others to pick up and auto configure their ipv6
addresses?
Thanks,
Joy Latten
