Just a correction. It's not US export laws as much as "other" countries
laws. From what I can remember hearing Linus say, he wanted Linux source to
be available to anyone in any country. Adding encryption code to the kernel
tree would mean people in China, France(?) and others would probably not be
able to even use Linux anymore...
