(usagi-users 01119) Re: Linux IPv6 in kernel 2.4

I see. But is there any books or documents on implementation of IPv6 on linux kernel 2.4. Something like the linux ip stack commentary (but it's on ipv4).

Hi Vriz,

I think the best way is to use grep on things you don't understand. Start from af_inet6.c in /usr/src/linux/net/ipv6/ and follow the functions.
There is a stable release version and yes, this is based on the USAGI project.

Subject: (usagi-users 01118) Linux IPv6 in kernel 2.4

Hi all,

I'm going to make some modifications to the linux ipv6 protocol stack in the 2.4.x kernel.
May I know if anyone could make some recommendations on the books or online documentation for helping me understand the source code on the ipv6 stack?
Is there any available info that documents the ipv6 stack in linux?
Is the ipv6 stack in linux complete and stable? Is it based on the USAGI project? Thank you.
