Hello all,
I was wondering if there are any performance test results available
about of Usagi versus Linux IPv6? I received some figures that showed
Usagi's performance over Linux IPv6:
slow machine -> linux, 10000 packets/second:
Linux IPv6 stack cpu load was 55%, whereas usagi 31%
slow machine -> linux, 20000 packets/second:
Linux IPv6 stack cpu load 100%, usagi 55%
forwarding 10000 packets/second in linux:
Linux IPv6 stack cpu load 80%, usagi 45%
Those tests were done with same machines at Linux kernel 2.4.7 and
Linux-2.4.7-usagi-20010816.patch. Seems like Usagi has some performance
advantage over original Linux IPv6 implementation :)
Has anyone ideas where this performance advantage was/were acchieved in
Usagi?
