(usagi-users 01843) Re: Test tools for Linux IPv6 stack

I'll let you know when I get a usable porting of the TAHI tests. I've
attached the ported NetPIPE package...feel free to ask me about any
problems you have with it.

(See attached file: netpipe-ipv6.tgz)

I need to generate TCP/UDP traffic over IPV6. Mainly I am looking for a
tool which will help in putting lots of stress on the v6 stack.

Definitely I will be interested in your TAHI port to linux :-)

Could you please bounce me your NetPIPE port to V6?
If you have a URL to that, please mail it to me.

Kazuo Hiekata, thanks for your inputs.

Regards
Uday

The Linux Test Project (LTP) <ltp.sourceforge.net> has a small number of
tests that run over IPv6. I am also in the process of "trying" to port
the TAHI tests to Linux. I'm not sure what type of testing you are
looking for, but few other good test programs are VolanoMark and
NetPIPE. VolanoMark <www.volano.com> runs over java (1.4 supports
IPv6), so requires no special changes. NetPIPE
<http://www.scl.ameslab.gov/netpipe/>
runs over only IPv4, but I have ported an older version to IPv6 if you
are interested.

Hello all,

I am looking for tools to perform tests on
Linux 2.4.18-3 IPv6 stack. (Redhat 7.3).

I know TAHI project is addressing it.
I couldn't find linux version of those tools.

Could you point me to place where I can get them?

thanks
