Hi,

just to inform you, I meanwhile received an answer
from the manufacturer of my switch.

Since this chip might have been used in many of the
cheaper SOHO switches, IPv6 might face severe problems
in home and older office networks.

I still suggest to have a /proc switch which turns
the linux kernel to use broadcast instead of multicast.
