(usagi-users 02057) glibc problem when configuring userland applications

Hello,
	When I try to run './configure' in usagi/usagi/, I get the
following error message:

checking for glibc version... unknown
Fatal, abort.
configure: error: ./configure failed for libinet6

The glibc version that I have installed is 2.2.93-5.  I searched the
website for more information about my problem, but was unable to find
anything.  I'm hoping that someone will be able to help me out.
