Hello, I'd like to use USAGI's IPsec implementation for transport mode IPv4 and IPv6 IPsec on my LAN. As far as I understand, IPv6 IPsec is supported in the latest stable USAGI release, dated 2003-Feb-14. It seems IPv4 IPsec is supported in the 2003-May-26 snapshot release, but not the stable release. Because I'd like both IPv4 and IPv6 IPsec, and because I had problems compiling a Linux kernel with the USAGI stable release kernel patch on the PowerPC architecture, I've decided to use the snapshot releases. Following the instructions in doc/HOWTO/IPsec in the 2003-May-26 snapshot (specifically, the snap/split/usagi-tool-s20030526.tar.bz2 tarball), I compiled and installed the pfkey program without any problems. However, when I tried compiling pluto, I got this: ~/build/usagi-s20030526/usagi/pluto$ ./configure configure: error: can not find sources in . or .. Here's a list of the files in that directory: confdefs.h configure* CVS/ libdes/ utils/ config.log configure.in lib/ Makefile.in I unpacked the split 'tool' tarball from the latest stable release (stable/split/usagi-tool-stable-20030214.tar.bz2) and tried compiling that version of pluto. I got the exact same configure script error. I downloaded and unpacked the 2003-06-23 snapshot on a remote system. (My home network has a pretty slow Internet connection.) I get the same error trying to run './configure' on that system. Is this documentation out of date? Should I use a different IKE daemon? Or have I overlooked something? Also, is there any other documentation for USAGI IPsec, besides doc/HOWTO/IPsec? It seems like I've Googled for hours without finding any relevant documentation. Thanks, -- - J.P.
