I was using dhcp. Changing the settings to static
helped me to get away the problem.
But this is the temporary solution, coz anyway i am
going to use dhcp in future in my project.
I m using Mandrake Linux ( 8.1). I could not find a
way to disble the overriding of the /etc/resolve.conf.
This is for sure tht it gets updated from dhcp server
if v use dhcp.

Can somebudy tell me ... how to disble overriding of
/etc/resolve.conf on a linux box running mandrake 8.1
Or i shud start digging in the subject....
