Hi,
the question is the usual: is anyone _really_ working on implementing
multicast routing? I'm interested especially in PIM Sparse Mode.
Searching the mailing list I have found several similar mails asking
about multicast routing. Older (from year 2001) mails got answer, but a
newer one (2003) not.
Mails:
http://www.linux-ipv6.org/ml/usagi-users/msg00151.html
http://www.linux-ipv6.org/ml/usagi-users/msg00759.html
http://www.linux-ipv6.org/ml/usagi-users/msg02070.html
If someone on this list is working on the subject (or planning to work
in the very near future (<1 month)), please reply to the list or to me
in private.
In the case of nobody is interested, I have several questions about the
possible implementation of the kernel interface:
1, should I follow the KAME v6 mrt implementation?
2, should I port the Linux v4 mrt implementation to v6?
3, should I implement something new based on RFCs?
Just for consistency.
