(usagi-users 02772) Re: [usagi] advantages of usagi

Sara,

USAGI has put a lot of effort in the development of IPv6 and IPsec for the linux kernel.  Prior to USAGI, the kernel had IPv6 support but it was not complete and it did not correspond to the latest standards. In regards to Mobile IPv6, USAGI will develop a user space version of Mobile IPv6 that will work with the 2.6 kernel. The USAGI distribution (2.4) does however include the kernel module version of Mobile IPv6, thus there is no need to apply any patches to the USAGI distribution.

I hope this help you. You should actually go the the USAGI web site so that you can understand all the work that is being done.

Hi to all.

I want to know what are the advantages of USAGI kernels if we compare them with the rest of kernels, and more concretely what are the advantages with USAGI kernels working with IPv6 and Mobile IPv6. If someone of you have any document, please send it to me.

Thanks and regards,

Sara.
