(usagi-users 02890) nat-pt (once more)

Hi,

I want to set up a linux based router, which can translate pakets from IPv4
to IPv6 and from IPv6 to IPv4. I have already set up one, based on trt and
totd from the vermicelli project, which works fine but only allows me to
communicate from IPv6 to IPv4.
So I found the nat-pt project
(http://www.ipv6.or.kr/english/natpt-overview.htm). Unfortunately I have some problems via setup the installation and so I
only receive the following message if I try to start the deamon :

./nat-pt: initialise_packet_filter: Error setting IPv4 device packet filter:
Protocol not available

I though, the reason is in the file nat-pt.c the following lines :
*pDevNameIP4       = "/dev/bpf1";

I only see this device on a freebsd never on a linux. Have I choose the
wrong software version ? Or what device I have to enter for a linux system ?

I would read more documentation if I found anything. Is there more available
? Is there a forum or mailing list only for nat-pt available ?

Exist more implementation for nat-pt on linux ? Several user, announced /
working on a implementation, post in this list but nobody post again.

I read the complete mailing list and have seen a lot of posting about
nat-pt, but regrettably no post affect my problem.

Im very happy for every advice that may help.

  Markus
