I also encountered problems recognizing BA/BU packets when using an
older version of Ethereal. Upgrading to the latest version of Ethereal
has the latest definition for Mobility Header (135).
I have not seen the dual binding problem before. A binding is supposed
to replace the previous binding. If there are two Binding Updates sent,
the HA would only store one binding. Do you have two addresses
configured?

Hello all,
I know I was supposed to post this message to mipl's
mailing list but that one seems to be
unreachable/inactive for some time...
I'm trying to set up a Linux-based network with both
MIPv6 and IPSec functionalities. Installation of USAGI
package went just fine (I've downloaded the whole kit
of stable release 5), but I've encountered a few
"working" difficulties (for now I didn't set any IPSec
parameters). First of all, when my MN is away from
home sometimes it sends 2 BU?!?! so when it comes back
of course it is unreachable until this second
"binding" expires. Secondly, when I use Ethereal to
monitor interface on my MN, it can't recognise BA and
BU. Has anyone experienced similar problems? Please
contact me if you have any solutions or further
questions. I would be grateful for any assistance.
Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
Ogi
