(usagi-users 03089) Applications like telnet ,ftp NOT RUNNING.Help!!

Hi all,
	I successfully installed USAGI kit which I downloaded from 
www.linux-ipv6.org. on my RedhatLinux8.0 I could have ipv6 enabled in the 
sense I can see auto-configured ipv6 addresses assigned to interfaces , 
routing table and applications  ping6,traceroute6 and tracepath6 
successfully running.But the biggest PROBLEM is I don't have telnet and ftp 
running which I need the most.

When I do telnet,it gives the message below:

loopback address

telnet ::1
unknown Host.

telnet to the auto-configured link local address.
unknown host

Also, in netstat -nta output ,I don't see telnet server running on ipv6 
loopback address.

Also,in /usr/sbin in.telnetd has a old date ,not the date on which I 
installed USAGI kit
It's the same with telnet in /usr/bin.
Does this mean that the USAGI telnet client and server are not copied to 
these locations? I followed the instructions given in INSTALL.USAGI.
I manually copied the executables which I found in 
usagi/usagi/telnetd/telnetd and usagi/usagi/telnet/telnet into /usr/sbin 
and /usr/bin respectively and tried.But it still didn't work.It gives the 
same error message.I have telnet enabaled on my system.
Am I missing some configuration.Is the command telnet hostaddr right or do 
we have somethjing like telnet6??

Please help me with this.It would be very kind of u all if you can get me 
this working.
