Overview of IPv4 over Firewire: Multicast

• Limited multicast support

• ARP and IPv4 Multicast packets are sent as GASP (Global Asynchronous Stream Packet)
• No L2 multicast support
• “L3” address should be negotiated via MCAP (Multicast Channel Allocation Protocol) in full implementation.
